It has been revealed that Kazuya Kamenashi, who left his agency in March and became independent, will be the MC of "Save the World! Wan-Nyafuru Story: Shiba, Mi-ke and Kamenashi-kun" (TV Tokyo, Wednesdays 7:54pm, first episode 6:25pm) which starts on April 16th. Kamenashi, who will be the MC for the first time on this new regular program since becoming independent and the first time on the station, reflected on the recording, saying, "It was fun! It was peaceful! It made me think about my family again, and I think it's a great program."
The show will introduce videos of wonderful, heartwarming, and "wannyafuru" miracles that animals perform. In addition to showing actual footage of animals' "amazing skills," strange behavior, and unbelievable stories of animals saving their owners' lives, the show will also feature projects such as "Up Nya~ Up is a Dog," in which owners of amazing animals that have gone viral on social media will introduce even more amazing animals.
Kamenashi will host the show in the form of a dog, accompanied by a sharp-tongued Shiba Inu named Nananosuke (voiced by Eiji Kotoge). Asako Ito will also be appearing.
"Save the World! Wan Nyafuru Story: Shiba, Mi-ke and Kamenashi-kun" airs every Wednesday at 7:54 p.m. The first episode on April 16 will air at 6:25 p.m.

-How was it recording your first MC role on TV Tokyo?
It was fun! It was peaceful! It made me think about my own family again, and I think it was a great show. I've been living with dogs for about 20 years, but this show made me want to learn more about animals. Especially turtles! I need to dig deeper into turtles! I want to dig deeper into turtles as I approach my 40s! (laughs)
-Was there any scene in the video that made an impression on you?
Everything touched my heart. I thought it was really amazing that it was a story of a real dog and a human, and although I can't explain it, I think there must be a bond that God has connected them to each other... And they're all so smart! There was a dog that communicated with its owner by pressing a button, and as a result, I want to be able to talk to my own dog, so I want a button! I'll press it when I get back to the dressing room (laughs).
