It has been announced that "TRIGUN STARGAZE", the final episode of "TRIGUN STAMPEDE", a new original anime based on Yasuhiro Nightow's manga "Trigun", will be broadcast in 2026.
The staff was also announced, with Masako Sato, from Studio Ghibli, known for her work on "Haikyu!! TO THE TOP" and "Anima Yell!", as director, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu , That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime as a Slime" and "Shangri-La Frontier", as series composition and scriptwriting. Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who worked on the previous film "TRIGUN STAMPEDE" as a special effects designer and is also known as the director of the animated film " Lookback ", will be in charge of character design. Following on from the previous film, Orange will be producing the film.
A teaser visual featuring Oshiyama's original drawing of the main character, Vash the Stampede, has been released. The visual is accompanied by the copy, "Live and suffer."
The story of the final installment begins two and a half years after the Lost Ru-lai incident, which engulfed the world and destroyed an entire city, as depicted in "TRIGUN STAMPEDE." Set on the desert planet No Man's Land, the final battle between Vash the Stampede, a gunslinger who has sworn not to kill, and his brother Millions Knives, who is plotting the annihilation of humanity, is depicted.
Director Sato said, "This is the final chapter of Trigun. What path and flow will the battle between Vash and Knives take? I hope everyone will pick up the original work and enjoy both stories."
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, who plays Vash, commented, "This is the conclusion of the story. How will it progress after the intriguing ending of 'STAMPEDE'? We gave our all to acting, aiming for a satisfying ending, so I hope everyone enjoys the whole thing. I think Vash's charm is that he never gives up. He's a born kind-hearted person...but he's a man with such strong convictions that it can't be explained by just the word kind-hearted, so I hope you will watch over him no matter how it ends."

To commemorate the release of the teaser visual, "TRIGUN STAMPEDE" will be streamed for free on TOHO animation's YouTube channel. Episodes 1-3 will be available from March 24th, episodes 4-7 from the 31st, episodes 8 and 9 from April 7th, and episodes 10-12 from the 14th, each for one week only.
"Trigun" is a gun action manga by Naito, who is also known for "Blood Blockade Battlefront", depicting the pacifist bounty hunter Vash the Stampede, a legendary gunslinger, facing a strange fate in a harsh world. A TV anime was broadcast in 1998, and the movie version "Trigun the Movie: Badlands Rumble" was released in 2010.
The new anime "TRIGUN STAMPEDE" was broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels from January to March 2023.
