It has been revealed that actor Hiroki Hasegawa will be the new host for the TV Tokyo economic documentary "Gaia no Yoake" (Fridays at 10pm). He will appear on the first episode of the renewed series, which will air on April 4th. Tetsushi Tanaka will be the narrator.
"Gaia no Yoake" is an economic documentary that began airing in April 2002. It explores the behind-the-scenes of various economic news stories through people who are struggling in the field, and currently Nao Matsushita serves as the guide and Hidekazu Mashima serves as the narrator.
With the renewal, Hasegawa's part will be produced with the concept of a continuous original story incorporating full-scale skits. Documentary coverage will also be strengthened, and the show will delve into hot topics and other topics that are not covered in the news.
