It has been announced that a special program on the popular Gundam series, "Gundam x ZIP! Learn from the Beginning! A National Anime: The Charm that Has Been Loved for 45 Years SP," will be broadcast on Nippon TV from 2:30 pm on January 18th. The special program commemorates the premiere of the latest installment in the series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-, which began screening on January 17th. The program will be hosted by Asami Miura, the general host of the station's morning information program, ZIP!, and will convey the charm of Gundam to people who have never come into contact with it before.
An interview with Kenshi Yonezu, who will be performing the theme song for "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning-", and director Kazuya Tsurumaki, who will be working on the film, will also be broadcast. Kanata Hongo and Rena Matsui also made an appearance.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is also a hot topic as it is the first collaboration between Sunrise, which produced the Gundam series, and Khara, known for the Evangelion series. The TV anime series was broadcast on Nippon TV, and a pre-broadcast version of the film, which reconstructed some episodes, began screening at 426 theaters, including IMAX screenings, on January 17th.
