Drama "Ubai Ai, Manatsu" Episode 5 spoilers

The fifth episode of the drama series " Ubai Ai, Manatsu " (TV Asahi, Friday 11:15pm *excluding some areas), starring actress Marika Matsumoto , was broadcast on August 15th.

The drama is a new installment in the "Ubai Ai" series, written by Osamu Suzuki. It tells the story of Umino Manatsu (played by Matsumoto) who falls in forbidden love with Sorachi Taimu (played by Ken Yasuda Ken), a married company president who looks just like her ex-boyfriend, despite her conflicted feelings.

At the end of episode 5, Manatsu is reunited with her supposedly dead lover, Hayato (played by Yasuda in a dual role). Feeling a mixture of joy and confusion, she embraces Hayato, but he runs away from her. Not understanding what's going on, Manatsu chases after him and travels back in time again, where she sees Hayato having a fun time with his wife and child.

Manatsu is in despair after learning the truth about her ex-lover. To make matters worse, the worst-case scenario occurs. Tokimu's wife, Mirai (Maryjun Takahashi), witnesses the moment of her reunion with Hayato. Mirai then questions Manatsu, asking, "Who is that person who looks like Tai-chan (Tokimu)?"

Mirai chases after Manatsu to find out the truth. The two end up traveling back in time together. Is she trying to steal her beloved husband just because he looks like her ex-lover? Mirai's hostility towards Manatsu grows even stronger... and so the story unfolds.

In next week's episode 6 (broadcast on August 29th), Mirai goes out of control. In order to prevent Manatsu and Tokimu from getting together, she conspires with Motoya (Alan Shirahama), a stalker who has a crush on Manatsu. Meanwhile, Manatsu and Tokimu have a secret rendezvous in a workshop hidden in the forest. Unaware that Motoya is pursuing them, the two finally lose control and become immersed in forbidden love once again.
