It has been revealed that STUDIO4℃, the studio behind such works as "Tekkonkinkreet" and "Children of the Sea," will be producing a new animated film called "ChaO," which will be released this summer.
Yasuhiro Aoki will serve as director, Yamato Kojima will be the character designer and chief animation director, and Hiroshi Takiguchi will be the art director.
The story is set in a future society where humans and mermaids coexist, and tells the story of how office worker Stefan is suddenly proposed to by Chao, the princess of the mermaid kingdom.
