It has been announced that Ayane Sakura will be voicing a character in the TV anime "The Villainess's Voice Actress," which is based on a Shosetsuka ni Naro. " Sakura will play Pina Blanche, the protagonist of a certain otome game. An alternate teaser visual featuring Pina and a heroine PV have also been released.
Pina awakens her ability as a "Star Maiden" who will save the world, and despite being from a commoner background, she enrolls in the same academy as Remilia. Although she has a lovely appearance, she is vulgar and self-centered inside. She does not fulfill the role of the true "protagonist," and instead becomes jealous of Remilia, who is adored by men, and drives her to the brink of despair.
Sakura commented, "I've never had any connection to the 'villainess' genre, but from time to time I've received requests from fans saying, 'We want you to voice Pina!', so I've been keeping an eye on this work and Pina's existence. Now that I've been officially offered the role and have read through it, I've been captivated by its mysterious charm, and I'm swinging my shoulders around thinking, 'I'll take on Pina's personality, spirit, and life!' I intend to do everything I can to make Pina a part of it. Please look forward to seeing the 'person inside the villainess' depicted in animation! I'm really looking forward to it!"
This work is a light novel written by Makiburo and illustrated by Murasaki Mai. The story follows Emi, who is reincarnated as Remilia, the villainess in a certain otome game, and struggles to make her happy as the "person inside" the character. Remilia corners the cunning heroine Pina with ruthless yet exhilarating schemes. The manga adaptation by Shiroume Nazuna has also gained popularity, and the series has sold over 4 million copies in total.
The anime will be directed by Kaoru Iida, with series composition and script by Hiroyuki Yoshino, and music by Shuji Katayama. It will be produced by ROLL2. Miyuki Sawashiro will voice Remilia and Rie Takahashi will voice Emi. It will air in 2027.
