The popular soccer manga Blue Lock, currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha), has released a card set called Blue Lock 47 Prefecture Egoist Cards (Kodansha) on October 17th. This product was created in response to the reaction to the 47 Prefectures Special Advertisement that appeared in the morning edition of the Asahi Shimbun in September 2023, and the set includes 47 prefecture cards with different designs depending on the region, two strategy cards, and a spare card, for a total of 50 cards. It sold out immediately at online bookstores, and a reprint was decided before the release, gaining in popularity.
Each card has a character illustration by Nomura Yusuke, who draws the work, on the front, and information on the characteristics of each prefecture and world heritage sites that are asked in junior high school entrance exams, etc., on the back, allowing you to learn about Japanese geography.
The set also comes with a Japan map poster introducing five types of card games, a double-sided complete poster with all the cards, a quiz sheet with 100 questions, and a big card board with characters in yukata.
The price is 2,530 yen.
