It has been revealed that singer LiSA will be performing the opening theme "QUEEN" for the second season of the TV anime "Shangri-La Frontier," which is based on a manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha). The promotional video was released on YouTube, showcasing the song. It was also announced that singer-songwriter Otoha will be performing the ending theme "Dancer in the Dark Night."

LiSA said about the opening song "QUEEN," "They clear one stage after another, unwavering in their quest for the top. It's a song for us, who fight fearlessly on the stages of life, heading towards happiness. I hope you enjoy it along with the show."

Otoha commented, "This world is virtual. If we can live with that belief, I think we can enjoy life more like a game, so I wrote 'Dancer of the Dark Night'. No matter how dark it is, no matter how wounded I am, I want to face this unique adversity with a smile. When I met Shangro and Sanraku and the others, this defiant feeling welled up inside me. I feel that Sanraku, who is unconventional and outrageous, is similar in some ways to my own muscle-brained way of life. I hope that those who come across this song will enjoy life to the fullest, and that one day they will be able to become their ideal selves."

The PV released features Akane Akitsu, a new character from the second season, and a mysterious new character. It also shows Sanraku, who is starting his adventure again in a new area, as well as Pencilgon and Oikatzo, plotting something.

The work is a comic adaptation of a popular light novel on the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist". The story is about a gamer, Yomuro Rakurou, who loves crappy games, taking on the legendary Shangri-La Frontier, which boasts 30 million players. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020.

The first season of the TV anime aired on MBS and TBS's Sunday 5pm anime slot "Nichi 5" from October 2023 to March 2024. The second season will air on Nichi 5 from October 13th.
