The cast for the first episode of the TV anime " Hana-Kimi, " based on the popular girls' manga by the late Hisaya Nakajo, which was also adapted into a live-action drama, has been announced, and it has been revealed that Yuichiro Umehara, Jun Fukuyama, Reiji Kawashima Kawashima, Koki Uchiyama and others will appear.
Umehara will play Minami Namba, Fukuyama will play Hokuto Umeda, Kawashima will play Senri Chuo, and Uchiyama will play Daiki Kayashima. Other cast members include Wataru Komada as Kyogo Sekime, Anna Furuya as Shinji Noe, Kotaro Nishiyama as Wataru Nihonbashi, and Yuko Natsuyoshi as Julia Maxwell. It was also announced that Natsuki Takemura will be the director, and Signal MD will be producing the anime.
The series is a school comedy that was serialized in the manga magazine "Hana to Yume " (Hakusensha) from 1996 to 2004. Mizuki Ashiya , a girl who transfers to an all-boys boarding school disguised as a boy in order to meet her crush, Izumi Sano Sano, lives her life at school without anyone realizing her true identity, until one day it is discovered that she is actually a girl. It was also made into a TV series in 2007 and 2011, which became a hot topic. The anime stars Aya Yamane Yamane as Mizuki Mizuki Ashiya , Taku Yashiro as Izumi Sano, and Kikunosuke Toya as Shuichi Nakatsu.
