On August 30th and 31st, in the Nippon Television Network's "24 Hour TV 48 - Love Saves the Earth", actress Mari Hoshino's daughter Fuuka (10) will go out into the streets of Tokyo with her best friends to fulfill her dream of "going out with just the kids!"
Hoshino announced last September that her daughter has congenital myopathy, a rare disease designated by the government. It's a hereditary condition that weakens muscles from birth, and Fuuka was diagnosed with congenital myopathy at the age of two. Since then, she has worked with her husband, former TV announcer Takano Takahiro, to find out what she can do as a parent. She thoroughly researched the welfare system and even obtained a social worker license.
This time, they explored Harajuku, Shin-Okubo, and Odaiba in a space with only children. Ema and Tsumugiho, best friends since kindergarten, treat each other as if they are real people, and Fuuka places a great deal of trust in them.
In Harajuku, you can go shopping on the coveted Takeshita Street, in Shin-Okubo you can decorate with cute patches, and in Odaiba you can play with your favorite animals.
Hoshino watches over Fuuka and her family on the monitor with announcer Asami Mizuto, feeling half worried and half happy about their child's growth.
This year's 24-Hour TV will have the theme "Tell me about yourself," and will be broadcast from the main venue, Ryogoku Kokugikan (Sumida Ward, Tokyo). The general hosts will be Ueda Shinya, Hatori Shinichi, and announcer Miura. Charity partners will be King & Prince, Jun Shison Jun, Nagashima Kazushige, Hamabe Minami, Hikawa, and Yasuko. The program will air from 6:30 PM on August 30th to 8:54 PM on the 31st.
