The trailer for "The Road to the Seaside," the latest film by director Yokohama Satoko, known for "Ultra Miracle Love Story" and "Actor Takuji Kameoka," was released on July 11. The lead role is played by 15-year-old actor Konosuke Harada (13 at the time), who was selected from an audition of about 800 people, and the film also stars Kumiko Aso, Kora Kengo, Ayame Goriki, Gouriki Ayame, Sugawara Koharu, Kudo Kankuro, and Sakai Maki.
The film is a live-action adaptation of manga artist Miyoshi Gin's masterpiece series "The Road to the Seaside," written in his later years. A seaside town that promotes support for artists to move there. Sousuke (Harada), a carefree 14-year-old member of the art club, and his friends are busy every day, drawing pictures for the drama club and helping the newspaper club with their research, even though it's summer vacation. There are some shady "artists" wandering around the town. Meanwhile, Sousuke and his friends start receiving strange requests one after another... This is the story.
