Actress Mirai Shida will appear as a special guest on April 16th on "FRUITS ZIPPER's NEW KAWAII tte Shite yo?" (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 1:25 AM), a show hosted by the idol group "FRUITS ZIPPER".
Shida, known to be an avid fan of FRUITS ZIPPER, was overwhelmed with emotion at appearing on the show, saying, "It was my dream to appear on this show!" During filming, she became so emotional that she couldn't stop crying when she was called into the studio, and had to go backstage for a moment. Meanwhile, fellow member Manaka Mana was also moved to tears upon seeing Shida's tears of joy.
The segment for the day was a psychological game that tested acting skills: "Deceive Mirai Shida with your acting! The Favorite Gourmet Wolf." The members took turns presenting and reviewing their favorite restaurants and delivery food that they actually frequent in their private lives. However, one of them was a "wolf" pretending to love a dish that contained ingredients he disliked, and Shida had to use her deductive skills to uncover his true identity.
After finishing the recording, Shida said, "I'm still feeling lightheaded," and continued, still visibly excited, "I can't believe I'm participating in a show I've always watched... and I'm so happy to be able to spend such a long time with everyone at FRUITS ZIPPER... I was so happy that tears welled up even before the recording started. My emotions were running high. I don't usually get this emotional on a drama set, so I'm a little embarrassed that the drama staff saw me like this (laughs)."
She also sent a message to the members saying, "We will continue to support you forever, so please take care of yourselves and do your best. We love this program and watch it every week, so please challenge yourselves with various projects and entertain us fans!"
