The teaser visual for the TV anime "You've Been Murdered Again, Detective-sama," based on a mystery novel written by Vocaloid producer and novelist Tenioha and illustrated by Riichi, has been released. The unconventional mystery follows high school detective Sakuya Oizuki, who has a special condition that allows him to come back to life even after being killed, as he uses this condition to tackle various difficult cases. The visual shows Oizuki Sakuya lying on the lap of his talented assistant, Lilitha, after being murdered "again."
Additional cast members were also announced, including Yoshino Aoyama as Haigamine Yuriu, Katsuyuki Konishi as Manrogi Kunta, Rie Kugimiya as Shardina Infelitious, and Yuki Takada as Belka Zeppelin.
Aoyama, who plays the role of Haigamine Yuriu, a rising new actress, commented, "Yuriu is very energetic and affable, and my first impression was that she is the girl who carries a large part of the 'lightness' of this work. I believe that her hard-working and somewhat apathetic side will make the story even more interesting, so I had a lot of fun playing her. Please look forward to the broadcast!"
Konishi, who plays Manrogi Kaoru, a detective familiar to Sakuya, said, "Manrogi is a police officer. In recent works, it seems like the detectives are often working hard and the police are lagging behind, but the police will not lose to detectives! I want to do my best with that spirit!! Please look forward to it!!"
Kugimiya, who plays Shardina Infelicius, one of the violent criminals known as the "Seven Old Men," said, "I had a lot of fun playing the character of Shardina, who is glamorous, gorgeous, mysterious, and expressive. I hope everyone will look forward to it. Thank you very much!"
Takada, who plays Belka Zeppelin, assistant to Fido, a famous detective from England, commented, "Congratulations on the decision to make an anime! The impact of the title! 'Again...again?!' I was drawn in by the scent of mystery and turned the pages over and over again. I couldn't stop reading the original, and was immersed in Koro's world again. I wonder how it will be portrayed in animation and reach everyone! I can't wait for it to air! Let's have fun together."
The anime will be directed by Takashi Naotani, who has worked on "Marriage Ring Story" and "A Romantic Comedy Where the Childhood Friend Won't Lose," and produced by Liden Films. Yasuda Rikuya will play the protagonist, Oizuki Sakuya, and Wakayama Shion will play Sakuya's assistant, Lilithea. It will begin airing on TBS in April.
