The release date for the second live-action "Mr. Osomatsu " film, " Mr. Osomatsu: Plan to Turn Humanity into Scum!!!!!!?" (directed by Kawamura Taisuke), starring popular group AAe! group , has been set for June 12th.
" Mr. Osomatsu" is an anime based on Fujio Akatsuka's comedy manga "Osomatsu kun," and was produced in 2015 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Akatsuka's birth. It depicts the daily lives of sextuplets in their early twenties who are worthless and NEETs, but somehow lovable.
The first live-action film, starring the popular group Snow Man, was released in 2022 and became a hit. The second film stars Ae! group members Yoshinori Masakado, Seiya Suezawa, Ken Kojima, and Shoya Sano, along with Richard Keita Kusama and their junior Kansai Junior member Takuya Nishimura, as the scumbag, NEET sextuplets. The film was originally scheduled for release on Getsuku, but a postponement was announced.
New stills have also been released, including one of the sextuplets peering out of a window, and another that shows them walking confidently side by side.
