The key visual for the "World Trigger Festival 2026," an event for the TV anime "World Trigger," based on Daisuke Ashihara's popular manga, has been released. The visual depicts the personalities and relationships of the characters Yuma Kuga, Osamu Mikumo, Chika Amatori, Soya Kazama, Jun Arashiyama, Shuji Miwa, Yosuke Yoneya, and Kyosuke Karasuma. The series has also been the subject of a buzz for the "REBOOT Project," which will see a "completely new" anime adaptation starting from the first episode of the manga, and the visuals are sure to raise expectations for the future developments of the reconstructed "World Trigger." The event will be held at Kanadevia Hall (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) on April 26th.
The "World Trigger Festival" is a festival for "World Trigger" fans, and will be held for the fourth time in about two years. It will be divided into two parts, a daytime performance and an evening performance. Appearing will be Muranaka Tomo as Kuga Yuki Kaji, Kaji Yuki as Mikumo Osamu, Tamura Nao as Amatori Chika, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kazama Soya, Okamoto Nobuhiko as Arashiyama Jun, Masakazu Morita as Yoneya Yosuke, Jun Fukuyama as Miwa Shuji, and Fukuyama Jun as Karasuma Kyosuke. Morita will only appear in the daytime performance, while Fukuyama will only appear in the evening performance. Advance ticket lottery applications will begin on February 1st at noon on ePlus.
"World Trigger" began serialization in February 2013 in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). It depicts the battle between the Neighbors, who come from another dimension to invade "this world," and the defense organization Border. It is currently being serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha).
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2014 to April 2016, the second season from January to April 2021, and the third season from October 2021 to January 2022.
The "REBOOT Project" will feature the Border Enlistment Arc, the Neighbors' Large-Scale Invasion Arc, and the B-Rank Battle Beginning Arc. Like the second and third seasons, it will be produced by Toei Animation and released as "World Trigger 1st Season."
