The series concluded in September 2024, but continues to gain popularity around the world. It was also announced that the first volume of the spin-off manga "Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo(Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo)" currently being serialized in the same magazine will be released on January 5th, 2026.
Akutami commented, "Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo started from the simplistic idea that if we were to do a spin-off, it would be interesting to have sorcerers versus aliens. So what kind of aliens are these? Assuming we want to bring the content currently published in the magazine to its peak, what kind of story should we tell in the limited time of a short serialization? I used the time that would normally be available for drawing, and through trial and error while facing modern challenges, the story of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo was born."
