Seven stills from the crime action film "Outlaws" (directed by Christian Gudegast, scheduled for release on January 23, 2026), starring actor Gerard Butler, were released all at once on December 17th.
This film is a sequel to "The Outlaw," which was released in 2018. It was released in the US in January this year and recorded the highest box office revenue on its first day (according to BOX OFFICE MOJO). A third film has already been confirmed.
As in the previous film, Butler stars as Nick O'Brien, the unconventional detective who captivates viewers with his tense gunfights and clever tactics. O'Shea Jackson Jr., son of rapper Ice Cube, will reprise his role as Donnie Wilson, Nick's nemesis and the most dangerous robber he ever let go. The film is directed, executive produced, and written by Gudegast, whose previous work was highly praised.
Nick (Butler), a Los Angeles County Sheriff's detective on leave, heads alone to Europe in search of Donnie (Jackson Jr.), who went on the run after a bank robbery. Nick learns that Donnie is working with a criminal organization that is repeatedly committing thefts, and he becomes embroiled in a grand plan to rob the world's largest diamond exchange. Various schemes and betrayals intertwine, and eventually they develop into an unexpected alliance... and so the story unfolds.
The scene cuts released this time feature character images of members of the ``most vicious'' robbery gang who are attempting to carry out the most difficult robbery plan in history, targeting diamonds, set in France.
The five robbers are Nick (Butler), a brilliant but unconventional detective from the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department who is nicknamed "Big Nick"; Donnie (Jackson Jr.), a genius robber who is nicknamed "Jean-Jacques" and who once pulled off a daring safe-cracking operation; Cleopatra (Evin Ahmad), a central figure in the gang who has been involved in numerous thefts, mainly in Europe, and whose connection with Donnie holds a new key to the diamond heist plan; Slavko (Salvatore Esposito), one of the gang members who works with Donnie and is in charge of monitoring communications equipment during the diamond heist; and Dragan (Oli Shuka), another member of the gang who is responsible for securing the entry point to the crime scene.
The seven scene cuts released show tense scenes that reflect each character's position and resolve.
