The NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , aired on August 10th. In the 30th episode, "Imitation Utamaro", Inoue Yuki made his full appearance as Matsudaira Sadanobu.
" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, who is known for her work on the highly talked-about "Drama 10: Ooku," which aired on NHK two years ago.
At the 30th event, the yellow-covered "Edo Nama Tsuyaki Kabayaki" sold well, and Koshodo in Nihonbashi was the biggest success since its opening.
Tsutaju (Yokohama) is working on a Kyoka picture book in collaboration with a Kyoka poet and an illustrator, and decides that now is the time to hire Utamaro, who is beginning to be rumored to be a "mimic of Utamaro." After that, Tsutaju asks Utamaro to draw a "picture that is unique to Utamaro," but Utamaro struggles with how to draw it.
Meanwhile, Matsudaira Sadanobu (Inoue) is invited by Harumasa (Ikuta Toma) to take part in government affairs...and so the story unfolds.
Matsudaira Sadanobu was entrusted with rebuilding the shogunate, which was facing financial difficulties and a breakdown in public morals, and was appointed chief senior councilor under the 11th shogun, Tokugawa Ienari (played by Shiro Kairi). In contrast to Tanuma Okitsugu 's flamboyant, commerce-focused policies, he carried out the "Kansei Reforms," which included thorough frugality, rural revival, the strict enforcement of public morals, and the encouragement of Neo-Confucianism. He was also strict on townspeople culture, and strengthened control over the publication of sharebon and yellow-covered books. This had a major impact on Tsutaju's publishing activities. Kokoro Terada played the role of " Tayasu Masamaru ."
Regarding Inoue's character Sadanobu, comments such as "He's grown up so much lol," "He's become a real adult," "Matsudaira Sadanobu suddenly appears," "Kenmaru has grown up!"
