The fourth episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " The 19th medical record " (Sundays at 9pm), starring Jun Matsumoto , was broadcast on August 10th, recording an average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) of 10.3% for households and 6.2% for individuals.
The drama is based on the manga " The 19th medical record Tokushige's Medical Interview" by Katsuhito Fujiya. It depicts a general practitioner who not only treats illnesses but also lends a hand to patients' lifestyles. This is Matsumoto's first time playing a doctor, and the cast also includes Fuka Koshiba and Mackenyu. The script was written by Aya Tsubota, who also wrote the "Kounodori" series (same channel).
In the fourth episode, a diabetic husband is reluctant to undergo treatment and his wife is frustrated. Tokushige (Matsumoto) proposes a double medical interview, with Takino (Koshiba) from the general medicine department taking charge of the wife and Shikayama (Hiroya Shimizu) from the internal medicine department taking charge of the husband.
