The 62nd episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 am and others) was broadcast on June 24th, and viewers were drawn to the scene where Nobu (Imada) develops the film left behind by her late husband, Jiro ( Ayumu Nakajima).
In episode 61 (broadcast on June 23), Nobu received a telegram from the naval hospital informing him that Jiro was in critical condition. Then, at the beginning of episode 62, Jiro took his last breath while being watched over by Nobu and Setsuko (Misuzu Kanno).
After the seventh day, when Nobu showed up at the Asada house, Ranko (Yuumi Kawai) told her, "Anyway, eat and sleep. That's all you can do at a time like this. If you don't eat anything and are alone and depressed, Jiro will be sad." Then she gently embraced the crying Nobu.
At the end of the film, Nobu develops the film Jiro left behind. The photos show Nobu with various expressions taken by Jiro, including a photo of Jiro taken by Nobu. Nobu mutters, "I'm sorry, Jiro. This one's out of focus because I took it," and hugs the photo of Jiro, then breaks down in tears.
Comments on social media included, "It's so heartbreaking," "A fleeting and precious time," "The love comes through in the photos," "I'm crying because there are so many photos that couldn't have been taken unless they were very dear and loved each other," "Even though their days together were short, Nobu was happy to be loved," and "I'm really glad that there are photos of Jiro, even if they're out of focus."
