Nakagawa Chihiro was announced as the fourth member of the fourth generation of idol group Sakurazaka46. She is 17 years old and from Nagasaki. Nakagawa's Vlog was also released on the group's official YouTube channel, Sakurazaka Channel, where she revealed that she started to like the group because of Neru Nagahama, a former Keyakizaka46 member who is also from Nagasaki.
Nakagawa expressed her joy, saying, "I happened to go see Neru Nagahama perform at the Nagasaki Lantern Festival and fell in love with Keyakizaka. Even after they changed their name, I loved the group Sakurazaka, and I'm really happy to be joining the group I've been supporting for so long."
Fans have responded with comments such as, "It's heartwarming that she's from the same hometown as Neru-chan and that she started to like Keyakizaka because of Neru-chan," and "Only the girls who have love for the group can win."
There are a total of nine fourth-year students, with one being announced each day at noon.
