The 53rd episode of the NHK morning drama series " Kaze,Kaoru " (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka, aired on June 10th, and viewers' attention was drawn to Shimaken (Asadora ) apologizing to Setsu (Yunagi, Honoka Murakami).
The second newspaper article written by Shimaken garnered even more attention and touched the hearts of many. The content was closer to fiction than the first article, with the addition of details such as "Yugao" being from a snowy region and being the eldest of four siblings.
When Makimura (Yuta Hayashi) read the article, he was surprised, saying, "I can't believe you wrote something so tear-jerking," but Shimaken muttered dismissively, "It's not my work." Then he added, "That prostitute is a different person from the prostitute Rin is looking after," to which Makimura rebuked him, "If you've written it, you should accept the consequences. If you're a writer, you have to take responsibility for what you write! The person who is written about won't get away unscathed either."
Meanwhile, Shimaken visits the hospital and pleads with Rin to let him see Setsu. Though hesitant, Rin leads Shimaken to Setsu's room. At the entrance, Shimaken bows deeply and introduces himself, saying, "My name is Shimada. I'm the one who wrote your article for the newspaper."
Setsu sarcastically remarked, "I'm quite different from the fragile evening glory you wrote about. I didn't grow up in a snowy region, after all." Shimaken apologized for writing the article without meeting Setsu, saying, "What I did wasn't sincere. Not towards you, and not towards writing..."
Setsu confessed her heartbreaking feelings, saying, "I don't care. Even if you apologize, nothing will change for me. This horrible world will continue. But if I could just meet a man I loved enough to want to die with, even if only in that article... that would be a little bit of relief." Shimaken bowed deeply to Setsu and left the hospital room.
On social media, comments included: "Shimaken, you are a very, very sincere person," "Shimaken, you're great for coming to apologize and not making excuses," "Shimaken is struggling," "Shimaken is kind after all," "Shimaken has realized his own dishonesty, what will he write or not write after this...", "Shimaken... it seems he has realized the weight of putting what he has written out into the world," "He's too kind as a writer... he might be too pure," and "What will happen to Shimaken, brace yourself!!"
