It has been announced that the rock band BLUE ENCOUNT will From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Shosetsuka ni Naro " (An Old Man from the Countryside Becomes a Sword Saint), which is based on a popular novel that originated on the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Narou" (Let's Become a Novelist). A commercial featuring the song has been released on YouTube. The video includes new footage of Beryl Gardenant crossing swords with Fissel Haberer, a former student of his and the ace of the Kingdom's Magic Corps. The second season will air on TV Asahi's anime block "IMAnimation W" every Wednesday at 11:45 PM starting July 8th. It has also been announced that it will be exclusively streamed worldwide on Amazon's video streaming service "Prime Video" starting July Getsuku.

In anticipation of the broadcast and streaming of the second season, advance screenings featuring the voice cast will be held in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo. The screenings will take place on June 20th at Midland Square Cinema (Nakamura-ku, Nagoya) and Josho Hall (Osaka, Osaka), and on June 28th at Marunouchi Piccadilly (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
"From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman" is a light novel written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima, a classic fantasy about an invincible swordsman who unknowingly dominates the world. The story follows Beryl Gardenant, who runs a small swordsmanship dojo in a rural village, when his former student, Allusia, who has risen to become the commander of the Royal Knights at a young age, visits him and is asked to go to the capital as a special instructor for the Knights. The series, including its manga adaptation and spin-offs, has sold over 9 million copies in total.
The anime will be directed by Akio Kazumi and produced by Passione and Hayabusa Film. Hiroaki Hirata will voice Beryl Gardenant. The rock band Unicorn will perform the opening theme song for the second season, "Kurenai no Ha".
The first season of the TV anime aired on TV Asahi's anime block "IMAnimation" from April to June 2025.
