The second episode of the TV anime "Kowloon Generic Romance," based on the manga by Mayuzuki Jun that is currently being serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha), will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels on April 12th.
Reiko, who has become friends with Yang Ming, who lives in Nanto Street, confesses to Yang Ming her current feelings about a photo that Kudo had. The photo shows Kudo with a woman who looks just like Reiko, and has the words "Engagement Commemoration" written on it. Reiko has no memory of the past, and is in love with Kudo. Meanwhile, Hebinuma General Medical, run by the large company Hebinuma Pharmaceutical, opens in Kowloon with great fanfare. Reiko, Yang Ming, and their friend Xiaohei go for a free consultation for beauty and health.
"Kowloon Generic Romance " is a manga by Mayuzuki, who is also known for "Love is Like After the Rain," which was adapted into a TV anime and a live-action movie, and has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" since November 2019. Reiko Kujirai, who works at a real estate agency in the nostalgic city of Kowloon Walled City, has a slight crush on her senior at work, Kudo Hajime, and when she finds a photo, she learns that Kudo had a fiance who looked just like her in the past. As memories that can't be found, the true identity of her other self, and a huge secret hidden in the city of Kowloon intertwine, past, present, and future, love will unravel the secrets.
A live-action adaptation of the anime will be released this summer, with Shiraishi Haruka playing Riho Yoshioka Reiko and Tomokazu Sugita playing Kudou Hatsu, and Koshi Mizukami and Mizukami Koji co-starring.
