The fifth episode of the TBS Friday drama "Tagusari Brothers" (Fridays at 10 PM), starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, aired on May 15th. Regarding Yuki Mogi (Takashi Yamanaka), the owner of the local Chinese restaurant "Mocchan," who has supported the Tagusari brothers, Makoto (Okada) and his younger brother Minoru (Sometani), for 30 years since their parents were murdered, social media was flooded with comments wishing, "I hope Mocchan isn't the culprit."

Koki has attracted attention since the drama began airing, with viewers saying things like, "I can't help but think he's suspicious because he's played by Takashi Yamanaka," "I have a hunch that Mocchan is the culprit," and "I hope it doesn't end up being someone he trusts the most who turns out to be the culprit."
In episode 5, Makoto and Minoru were talking in the "Mocchan" shop about Narita (Jun Saito), who had turned himself in but continued to remain silent during questioning. Narita's father had been in and out of the hospital for the past 10 years, and Narita's mother had been working multiple jobs to make ends meet. They were short on money, so Narita could only take the entrance exam for one university of his choice, but he failed.
Upon learning of Narita's situation, Minoru said with conviction, "Education is on the side of the wealthy." Then Koki said, "But there are exceptions, aren't there? Minoru, you did a great job," and gave Minoru a gentle smile.
Afterwards, Koki recalled, "I was really surprised by Minoru at that time. Because he suddenly said he wasn't going to take the entrance exam." When Makoto reminisced, "(At the time) Mocchan said that if he became a scholarship student, his tuition would be waived," Koki revealed, "I had heard him say countless times that he wanted to go to medical school, so I really didn't want him to give up."
When Makoto learned of Koki's warm feelings for Minoru, a smile faintly appeared on his face.
Social media was buzzing with comments like, "I'm just praying that Mocchan isn't a bad person," "I hope Mocchan isn't the enemy," "I know Mocchan is suspicious, but he's so suspicious that I feel like it's a red herring," "I watch each episode hoping that Mocchan is a good person," and "I hope Mocchan isn't the culprit."
The drama follows Detective Makoto and Medical Examiner Minoru as they investigate heinous crimes that occur daily and pursue the true culprit in the murder of their parents, a case that expired just two days before the statute of limitations was abolished. This is the latest work from producer Junko Arai, who has worked on hit crime suspense works such as the film "Last Mile" and the dramas "Unnatural," "MIU404," and "Saiai."
