Actor Ohtori Ran and her second daughter, also an actor, Shoda Yuki, will appear together on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 pm on January 20th. Yuki followed in her mother's footsteps and became an actress, and last year she played the lead role in a play.
Otori, now 78 years old, got married after leaving the Takarazuka Revue and raised two daughters. Raising children while continuing his acting career was tough, and one day he was so tired that he fell down the stairs at home. When Yuki was a teenager, the mother and daughter had a big fight, and Otori shouted, "I don't remember raising my daughter like that!", to which Yuki responded with something unexpected.
Yuki, 41, is now a mother of two children and performs on stage while raising them. Otori is envious of the way the couple cooperates in raising their children, saying, "The times have changed."
