A Sparkling Live for You!" Tsuda will play Tot, an original character in the film version, a coral fairy and the organizing committee chairman of the "Universe 1" idol festival.
Tsuda plays Tot, the chairman of the Super Miracle Idol Festival's organizing committee, who invites Uta and the others to the festival. He is characterized by his adorable appearance, wearing a shirt with an image of the blue sea and coral, a straw hat, glasses, and a bow tie.
Director Ogawa Koji explained the reason for the role, saying, "Totto plays the role of a guide in the film's setting and has quite a lot of long lines, so we asked Tsuda, who has experience as a voice actor in other films." The producer expressed his expectations, saying, "Totto plays an important role in conveying information about Aiai Island, the setting of this film, to viewers. We thought that Diane Tsuda's bright and comical atmosphere would make the entire festival scene appealing, so we asked her to play the role."
Tsuda commented, "I was of course surprised, and my manager and I had many back-and-forths about whether this was for real or a prank." Tsuda is also a father of three children, but he says he has kept his appearance in this film a secret from them.
"I wanted to become Totto from within, so I increased the amount of food I ate and always wore a blue shirt similar to Totto's.
