Sadao Abe and his "wife"Takako Matsu wear matching blue outfits at the public recording of the "Shiawase na Kekkon" podcast

On August 14th, actor Sadao Abe appeared at the Roppongi Hills Arena (Minato Ward, Tokyo) for a public recording of a podcast for the TV drama series "Shiawase na Kekkon" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), in which he stars, along with the heroine Takako Matsu. Abe and Matsu, who play a married couple, appeared in matching blue outfits. In front of an audience of nearly 1000 people, Abe beamed and said, "I never thought an event like this would ever take place."

The podcast has become a hot topic, ranking first in Spotify's trending podcast rankings (as of August 5th) and recording the highest number of plays in the history of "Listen to TV Asahi." Abe greeted the audience by saying, "We usually record in a small room, but we're quite shy, so we're feeling a bit nervous," to which Matsu nodded in agreement.

The two continued to address the audience. When they asked, "What time have you been lining up today?", the event was scheduled to start at 10:30 AM, but some people answered that they had been lining up since 6:30 AM, to which the two responded with wide eyes, "6:30 AM?!"

The drama is an original story by screenwriter Shizuka Oishi. Bachelor Harada Kotaro (Abe) is attracted to the mysterious high school art teacher Suzuki Nerula (Matsu) and they suddenly get married, but Nerula has a serious secret that has her under police surveillance. Although it is a family drama, it is billed as a "marriage suspense" that questions the love between husband and wife.

Rihito Itagaki and Yosuke Sugino also appeared at the public recording. The MC was announcer Ayaka Hironaka, who also appears in the play.
