"Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00am and others) is the NHK morning drama starring Hashimoto Kanna. In the sixth week of "Uchi, Gal, Yameruken" starting on November 4th, actor Ichinose Wataru will appear as Sasaki Yuma.
Ichinose, who made waves last year for playing the lead role of a young sumo wrestler in the Netflix series "Sanctuary", will be appearing in a morning drama for the second time since "Yell" in the first half of 2020.
The character Sasaki Yuma that he plays in "Omusubi" is "self-proclaimed manager of Yoneda Ayumu" who works with Yui's (Hashimoto) sister Ayumu (Naka Riisa). In the trailer, he is seen explaining, "With the great actress Ayumu gone, the set is in chaos."
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with her "gal spirit" of valuing her individuality at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist.
