Ryusei Fujii of the popular group "WEST." appeared on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which aired on January 8th. He talked about the closeness of the group.
Fujii, now 32, co-starred with Kuroyanagi in the 2021 reading play "Harold and Maude." After that, he continued to go see the play and visit her dressing room. Every time he went, he would take photos with "Tetsuko's ex-boyfriends (who she co-starred with)."
At the time of their co-starring, Japan was in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, so he invited her out to dinner, saying, "I haven't been able to go out to dinner with Tetsuko."
"WEST." is celebrating its 12th year this year. Fujii said, "We're all really close. We don't see each other that much in private, but we get to see all seven of us on the group's TV shows a lot and we talk all the time." Although the seven members have a wide age range, he said, "we don't look like we have much of a range in appearance."
