Matsumoto Hitoshi held his first live broadcast of the year on the paid streaming service "DOWNTOWN+" by the comedy duo "Downtown." The broadcast was carried out from Yoshimoto Kogyo's Tokyo headquarters (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), and annual plan members selected by lottery were invited to participate.
Two stages were set up in the courtyard of Yoshimoto Kogyo's Tokyo headquarters, and a huge banner reading "In 2026" and "Thank you to our members!!!" was hung above the building. Matsumoto appeared on the stage, where a sake barrel was placed, and his first words were "Congratulations." He described Yoshimoto Kogyo's Tokyo headquarters as a "den of evil," drawing laughs, and then broke a sake barrel.
He moved to a stage where a kotatsu table was placed and called on the talent watching the stream to gather at the Tokyo headquarters, and when a plan was proposed to give New Year's money to the talent who arrived within the time limit, he retorted, "Why not?"
He was then told that "we've invited three big guests," and seemed skeptical, but when the first guest, Kondo Masahiko, appeared, he was surprised and smiled, saying "I'm happy." However, when he found out that Kondo was not a member of "DOWNTOWN+," he pointedly retorted, "You haven't signed up, have you?"
Afterwards, Becky and actor Wataru Ichinose appeared as guests, followed by comedians who had rushed to the Tokyo headquarters, who showed off their material and engaged in conversation.
