It was announced on October 1st that former KAT-TUN member Yuichi Nakamaru has been appointed as the Wednesday commentator for TOKYO MX's live information program "Goji ni Muchuu!" (Monday to Friday, 5pm). The announcement was made on the program on the same day, and he began participating from that day. This will be Nakamaru's first regular program since his return. Hikorohee, who had been the Wednesday commentator on the program, graduated from the program with the September 24th broadcast.
Nakamaru, who had been on hiatus since a scandal reported in a weekly magazine in August last year, returned to terrestrial TV location shooting in June this year for the same station's "Kids are watching! If I wasn't a talent." Since then, he has continued to appear on the station's programs, including "Savannah Takahashi's sauna god" and "Kotoge Eiji's what a beauty!"
"Goji ni Muchuu!" began airing in 2005 and is billed as "broadcasting room-style TV," with unpretentious commentators discussing everything from page three news to politics without any reservations. It will be interesting to see what kind of chemistry Nakamaru, a new addition to the show, will create with the free-spirited cast members and breathe fresh air into the show's 21st year.
Nakamaru commented, "I am honored to be able to participate in a program that has been running for 20 years. I am looking forward to taking part in the deep conversations that will take place every week!"
