The eighth episode of the drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring actors Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko, aired on December 6th. In the episode, someone was shown playing a recorder during a break in the main story, along with a series of meaningful notes, which sparked a stir on social media.

In episode 8, Takagi (Mamiya) and his friends learn that "Doctor" Mori Tomoya holds a grudge against them, and so they go to rescue Hatachi (Mori Yusaku), who has gone to meet Mori alone. However, they are unable to catch Mori, and Hatachi's life is taken. Takagi and his friends believe that the video of everyone talking about their dreams must contain something the culprit would not want others to see, but they do not know where the DVD is.
After parting ways with his friends, Takagi goes to the elementary school to pick up his daughter Kanon (Miyazaki Ririsa), and realizes from Kanon's words that Mori (Furudate Yutaro) is the homeroom teacher. When Takagi finds out that Mori has the DVD, he tells Sonoko (Araki) and Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto) at Imakuni. Later, Mori comes to see Takagi. He criticizes Takagi and the others, refusing to listen to Takagi's words, "I'm trying to face things head on and live my life properly," and accuses him, saying, "You only remember what's convenient for you, so how is that facing things head on? You don't even remember that you were bullying Do-san anyway."
Kanon, who is trying to reconcile Takagi and Mori, believes that the DVD is the cause of the fight and tries to take it away while Mori is away at school. Takagi rushes to the school and talks with Mori alone. Mori reveals that he actually wanted to help Hatatachi, and that he knew that bad things about "Do-ko" had been written on the message board but was unable to delete the website, and hands Takagi the DVD.
Later, Takagi plays a DVD at Imakuni with Mori, Koyama, and others, and stands up in surprise when he sees a girl on the DVD who introduces herself as "Seto Shion." When Sonoko asks, "Who is that?", Mori replies, "Do's daughter." The girl who calls herself Seto Shion then says on the screen, "My dream is to become a pianist."
In this episode, before the commercial break in the main story, an unseen figure, presumably a student, was shown playing a recorder. The video also included a mysterious sequence of notes such as "So La So Mi Re Do Do La" and "So Mi Mi Do Re," which caused a flurry of confused comments on social media. Comments included, "Is this a sponsored recorder performance!?", "It's so meaningful it's scary," "I looked up the recorder scale and it was 'My husband is in the cold earth'...?!" and "I got chills when I found out it was 'My husband is in the cold earth'."
