It has been announced that the fifth season of the TV anime " The Rising of the Shield Hero ," based on a popular light novel on the novel submission website " Shosetsuka ni Naro, " will be produced. An ultra-teaser visual depicting a phoenix, a mysterious figure sitting on a throne, Naofumi and his companions fighting in a cloud of dust, and a special trailer depicting Naofumi in agony have also been released.
Original author Aneko Yusagi commented, "The fifth season of Shield Hero has been decided! Season 5...I can only express my gratitude for them making it this far. Seriously...I was writing up to about volume 4 of the book hoping that it would be made into an anime, and before I knew it, it had grown to this size, and I still feel like I'm dreaming. Again and again, this is all thanks to everyone who is involved with Shield Hero. Season 5 will be a major challenge for Naofumi and the others, and it will also be a point where they will test their resolve to protect the world, so I hope everyone will watch it."

It was also announced that a global game project for PC and smartphones based on the " The Rising of the Shield Hero" series has been launched.
"The Rising of the Shield Hero" is a light novel by Aneko Yusagi that originated on "Shosetsuka ni Naro" and is published by MF Books (KADOKAWA). The story follows Naofumi Iwatani, who is summoned to another world as the "Shield Hero," but is betrayed by his companions, loses his reputation and money as a hero, and climbs out of the depths of despair.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to June 2019, the second from April to June 2022, and the third from October to December 2023. The fourth season began in July, and the final episode aired on September 24th on TOKYO MX and other channels.
