It has been revealed that Okamoto Hina (Hina) of the idol group Nogizaka46 will be appearing in the "Bottobi Shuugou" commercial for the new game "Dragon Ball Gexin Squadra" (Bandai Namco Entertainment) based on the popular anime "Dragon Ball," which began airing nationwide on August 19th.
He appears alongside actor Hayato Isomura, Elly from the dance and vocal group J SOUL BROTHERS III, and comedian Sunshine Ikezaki. The commercial is impactful, with the three of them flying through the air and appearing through a wall as Isomura tries to start a game in his dressing room.
This was Okamoto's first solo commercial appearance. At first, she was a little nervous on set, but after the director explained the wire action to her, she smiled and said, "It's been my dream to fly since I was little, so I'm really happy! Manager, watch me make my dream come true (laughs)."
When asked how she felt when it was decided that she would be appearing in the commercial, she expressed her joy, saying, "The staff knew that I really love Dragon Ball, so they said to me, 'We have something to tell you, but please be quiet.' When I heard what they had to say, I spoke in an incredibly loud voice, and they told me, 'Shhh!' (laughs). But after that, tears just started flowing and I remember not being able to stop crying."
She said that she watched "Dragon Ball" because of her father's influence, and revealed, "I was the first to call my father (about appearing in the commercial). At first, I heard his voice just as loud as mine, and he was so happy, saying, 'Oh, I'm so happy!' I think he was probably even happier than I was."
She said that her favorite character has "always been Bardock," and continued, "When I see the Saiyans being beaten to a pulp by Frieza and left in tatters, I feel a little scared. But Bardock stands up all by himself to protect his child. And at that moment, I thought, 'I love this guy!!!' Ever since I was little, I thought, 'This kind of person is great!' (laughs). Ever since then, I can't help but admire Bardock."
