Singer-songwriter and rapper Chan Mina-san appeared at the rehearsal for the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 28th. This will be her first time performing at Kouhaku, and she spoke with deep emotion, saying, "I want to praise myself for never giving up on my dreams and continuing to make music, and I hope to be able to perform on stage where I can express my gratitude to my family for believing in me."
This year, the seven-member girl group "HANA," for which she serves as producer, will also be making their first appearance on Kohaku. Chanmina said in surprise, "When we launched HANA, we created and shared a roadmap, and Kohaku was where we had been aiming for, so we were able to appear on Kohaku sooner than we expected."
"I've been releasing new music for a long time, so I thought I was going to die from constantly creating new things, but the results are worth the effort, and I've seen everyone's (HANA members) eyes getting stronger and stronger, so I'm really looking forward to performing with them," she said.
She also sent a message to the HANA members saying, "Take it!" and declared, "I'll take it too."
The theme of the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen is "Connecting, Connecting, New Year's Eve," and it will be hosted by Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Haruka Ayase, Mio Imada, and announcer Naoko Suzuki. It will be broadcast from 7:20 pm to 11:45 pm on December 31st (with some news breaks).
