It has been announced that the " Mitsuru Adachi Summer Festival 2025" campaign, which will make the works of manga artist Mitsuru Adachi Mitsuru, known for works such as "Touch," available for free, will start at noon on August 1st on Shogakukan's manga app "Sunday Webry."
This year marks Adachi's 55th anniversary as an artist, and his works "Touch," "Rough," "H2," "KATSU!," and "Cross Game" will be available for free. When the temperature in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, where the high school that served as the model for Meisei Gakuen, which appears in "Touch" and other works, is located, exceeds 35 degrees, the number of volumes that can be read for free will gradually increase. Maebashi City has a deep connection with Adachi's works, and decided to launch the campaign with the hope that "during this hot season, people should be able to immerse themselves in his masterpieces in a cool room." The campaign will run until August 31st.
The Sunday Webry editorial department's official account, X (@SundayWebry), is running an original GIF roulette project called "#TatsuyaChallenge." If the face of Uesugi Tatsuya appears on the roulette, the challenge will be successful. Regardless of whether the challenge is a success or failure, those who post their results on X will be entered into a lottery to win a ball autographed by Adachi and limited edition merchandise. The campaign runs until August 22nd.
