"Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai" starring Ai Kayano, Kenichi Suzumura, Soma Saito, and Fairouz Ai

Details of Aniplex's mysterious new anime were revealed on July 5th. The title of the work was kept secret, and only the appearance of the star-studded voice actors Ai Kayano, Ai Kayano Kenichi Suzumura, Soma Saito, and Fairouz Ai was announced on July 2nd, which caused a stir. However, it was revealed that the TV anime is "Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai."

The series is based on a manga by Shibata Yokusaru, known for works such as "Hachi-One Diver," and depicts adults who love "Kamen Rider" and "play Kamen Rider in earnest." It was previously announced that Katsuyuki Konishi will play the main character Higashijima Tanzaburou, who was serious about becoming a "Kamen Rider" even at the age of 40, but it was newly announced that Kayano will play Okada Yuriko, who aims to become a Denpa Ningen Tackle, Suzumura will play Shimamura Ichiyo, who pretends to be Kamen Rider V3, Saito will play Shimamura Mitsuyo, who aspires to be Riderman, and Fairouz will play Yukaris, a female Shocker fighter. It will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from October.

Character visuals, visuals of the voice actors striking poses, and the latest footage were also released.

The series began serialization in "Monthly Heroes" (Heroes, currently out of publication) in 2018, and is currently being serialized on the manga distribution site "Comiplex" (same publisher). The story is about Higashijima Tanzaburou, who at the age of 40 was still serious about becoming "Kamen Rider", but just as he was about to give up on his dream, he gets caught up in a fake Shocker robbery case that is causing a stir in the world... Ishimori Productions and Toei are cooperating with the series. The anime will be directed by Ikezoe Takahiro, with series composition by Machida Doko, and produced by LIDEN FILMS.
