The 21st episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Ezo no Sakura Ueno no Heoto", was broadcast on June 1st, and Kazuki Enari made his debut as Matsumae Matsumae Michihiro, the eighth head of the Matsumae family. It was a brilliant debut in the Taiga drama.
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
In the 21st episode, Tsutaju (Yokohama) finds out that the nishikie prints he created with Utamaro (Sometani Shota) aren't selling, but when he finds out that the blue book written by Masanori (Shunsuke Kazama) is selling well, he feels the disparity in power between him and the established bookstore.
Meanwhile, Nanpo (Kenta Kiritani) appears with his fellow kyoka poets at Tsuchiyama's (Shuntaro Yanagi) cherry blossom viewing party. Tsutaju sees a man who looks like Ichi (Hio Miyazawa) in disguise. Meanwhile, Okitsugu(Ken Watanabe) tells Ieharu (Hidekazu Mashima) that he is considering ceding Ezo to the shogunate... and so the story unfolds.
This is Enari's first appearance in a taiga drama. The character he plays , Matsumae Michihiro, has a free-spirited personality and is comfortable with going too far at times. He is on friendly terms with the three Gosanke members, such as Harumori Hitotsubashi (Toma Ikuta), and will engage in political maneuvering against Tanuma Okitsugu, who is trying to advance the confiscation of Ezo.
