" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobuyuki (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas and arrived at "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In episode 46, Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) safely delivers his hardtack to the army and leaves the Asada family.
Nobu (Imada) is at a loss for words when Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida) tells her why Kusakichi refused to make hardtack. Nobu regrets for forcing him to do it, but Kamaji assures her that it wasn't his fault that he left. Meanwhile, Hatako (Noriko Eguchi) finds the recipe for hardtack left behind by Kusakichi, and is inspired to continue baking hardtack with her daughters.
