" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobuyuki (1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas and arrived at "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
In episode 45, rumors spread that Asada Pan has rebelled against the Army by refusing to make hardtack. Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida) bows down to Kusakichi (Sadao Abe) and asks him to bake hardtack for him. The next day, the ingredients for hardtack are delivered to the Asada house for some reason. The military police arrive and order Kamaji and his friends to make hardtack immediately, leaving them confused. Kusakichi then appears and successfully bakes the hardtack.
Nobu (Imada) rushes over and, though surprised, thanks Kusakichi. Smiles return to the Asada family, but...
