The 41st episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on May 26th, and viewers were drawn to the words and actions of Takashi's ( Takumi Kitamura) homeroom teacher, Zama (Koichi Yamadera).
In the 41st episode, in January 1940, the Asada family is planning to hold a wedding for Nobu (played by Imada), and Kamaji (played by Kotaro Yoshida) and his family are excited. At the same time, Taka is engrossed in his graduation project, hoping to meet Nobu and tell her how he feels after finishing it.
While Takashi is engrossed in his graduation project, Kentaro (Fumiya Takahashi) comes out of breath and brings him a telegram that has arrived at his boarding house. The telegram informs him that Hiroshi (Yutaka Takenouchi) is in critical condition. Kentaro and Zama try to persuade Takashi to return home immediately, but Takashi says, "I can't return home yet. I can't face my uncle until I finish this."
Kentaro urged, "You should know what's important! Don't leave it like that and go!", but Zama stopped him and respected Taka's decision, saying, "It's up to him to decide."
Taku continued working through the night and completed his graduation project, which was his greatest masterpiece. Zama, who had been watching Taku engrossed in his work, muttered, "That's typical of you..." when he saw the finished graduation project, and told him, "Once you submit this work, I will recognize your course at our school as complete." Then, when Taku tried to put away his tools, Zama instructed him, "I'll do that. Go!" After Taku ran out of the classroom, Zama smiled gently at the picture of Ginza at night that Taku had completed.
Comments on social media about Zama's words and actions included, "Nice assist from Zama Sensei," "Tears go out to Zama Sensei for waiting for Takashi to finish writing," "He's a great teacher who respects his students' sensibilities and thoughts and provides guidance," "He's so kind and cool," "He's truly a mentor," and "Takashi is blessed with people around him."
