The seventh episode of the new TV anime "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA", based on the manga "YAIBA" by Gosho Aoyama , who is known for " Detective Conan " and other works, "Kojiro's Resurrection", was broadcast on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network on May 17th, and a cut of Miyamoto Musashi in his younger days was released. In the seventh episode, after arriving at Ganryu Island, Blade and the others find themselves transported back in time to the Edo period in the middle of a battle with the resurrected Sasaki Kojiro. Blade and the Sea Cucumber Man arrive one week before the decisive battle between Musashi and Kojiro, the Battle of Ganryu Island, and meet the young Musashi. The released cuts show Musashi and Kojiro in a tense moment before the battle, as well as a scene where Musashi blushes at Otsu, who lives with him.
"YAIBA" is a swordplay action manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993, before Aoyama began serializing "Detective Conan". It depicts the exploits of Yaiba Kurogane, an unconventional young swordsman who trains in the jungle with his father. The story follows Tsubasa, who returns to Japan by chance and strives to become even stronger in his new training ground... This is the story. A total of 24 volumes of the comic have been released, with a total circulation of about 17 million copies.
The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author, Aoyama, and will be fully animated after about 30 years since the series was completed. Following on from the TV anime "Yaiba: The Legend of Swordsman" that aired from 1993 to 1994, Minami Takayama will play the main character, Yaiba. It will be produced by WIT STUDIO, known for "Attack on Titan" and "SPY×FAMILY." It is currently airing every Saturday at 5:30 pm on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV.
