The 22nd episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on April 29th, and viewers were drawn to Ranko ( Yuumi Kawai Yumi)'s cold response to Iwao (Hamao Noritaka) who visited Asada Pan.
In episode 13 (broadcast on April 15), Iwao falls in love at first sight with Ranko, who helps out at the reception desk for the bread-eating contest. In episode 22, Iwao visits Asada Bread and says to Ranko, "On your days off from the post office, come help out at the bakery. I'm impressed," but Ranko coldly replies, "Is it an Anpan or a sliced bread?"
Iwao bought six Anpan and showed his generosity by saying, "I love fishing." Ignoring Meiko (Nanoka Hara), who held out both hands and said, "Thank you, Iwao!", he handed Ranko some coins and left, smiling, saying, "See you later." Meiko asked curiously, "What's with that guy? Has he come around a lot recently?"
On social media, comments such as, "Iwao is such an easy-to-understand guy," "I wonder if he's been going to the post office and Asada Bread since then lol," "Iwao was so obvious that I laughed a little, but Ranko's extremely cold response made me laugh too lol," "Iwao is not interested in her so Ranko should give up," and "I'm already feeling sorry for Iwao as I'm sure he'll have his heart broken."
It is also thought that Ranko has feelings for Go (Kanata Hosoda), a young stonemason who works at Asada Stonemason's Shop, with viewers commenting, "And there's Go-chan!" and "Ranko is devoted to Go-chan."
