It has been revealed that Taiga Kyomoto of the popular group "SixTONES" will be making a guest appearance in the performance "Disney Broadway Hits feat. Alan Menken supported by Disney★JCB Card," which will be held at Tokyo International Forum Hall A from July 1st to 3rd. This will be Kyomoto's second appearance following the previous performance in 2023, and he commented, "This time, I was able to travel to New York and absorb the acting of global actors, so I hope to find something different about myself than I did two years ago."
"Disney Broadway Hits" has been performed at the Boston Symphony Hall in the United States and the Royal Albert Hall in London, England, and has been held in Japan three times in the past. Following last year, Alan Menken, the master of Disney music who created the songs for classic works such as "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," and "The Little Mermaid," will also be appearing.
This performance is in two acts. The first act is a piano solo stage by Menken. The second act is a stage performance by the authentic Broadway cast, Japanese guests including Kyomoto, and an orchestra.
In preparation for his return to the concert, Kyomoto attended Disney musicals "Aladdin" and "The Lion King" currently being performed on Broadway, the home of musicals. Kyomoto's improved performance is sure to be a highlight.
◇Comment from Taiga Kyomoto
I'm very happy to be able to perform together with the Broadway cast again. This time, I was able to travel to New York and absorb the acting of global actors, so I hope to find something different about myself than I did two years ago.
I hope that those who were unable to see it last time will be able to come and see it, and even those who have seen it before will be able to enjoy it, as some parts of the program have been renewed. It's a concert that I love, where you can fully experience the worldview of Disney and Alan Menken, so let's enjoy it together!!
