"Detective! Night Scoop" (ABC TV, Friday 11:17pm) is a popular variety show where "detectives" tackle the most bizarre requests and worries sent in by viewers. On the April 25th broadcast, detective Yasushi Ishida investigated "I want to return to my home after running away in the middle of the night." Deputy Director Futaba Katsura, Secretary Saori Masuda, and Advisor Hiroshi Maru also appeared.
The request came from a man (33) from Osaka Prefecture. The man had a history of running away with his family in the middle of the night. When he was an elementary school student, he lived in a house in Hyogo Prefecture. His parents' business did not go well, and one day he was forced to abandon the house and leave. After that, his parents divorced and his family fell apart. Since then, he thought that the house had been demolished and no longer existed in this world.
