The synopsis and scene cuts for episode 12, "Special Investigation Unit Jinkawa Kouhei" (to be broadcast on January 14th), of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 24" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm), starring Mizutani Yutaka and Terawaki Yasufumi, have been released. The episode will feature Jinkawa Kouhei (Harada Ryuji), a detective from the Second Investigation Division, also known as the "third man" of the Special Investigation Unit, and Yamashita Rio will also make a guest appearance as a female police officer.
In the episode, it is revealed that Jinkawa and a female police officer named Hayami Ryoko (Yamashita) have set up an unofficial unit called the Special Investigation Unit, or "Special Investigation Unit" for short, and have been operating for the past six months. They have achieved some success, such as identifying the culprit of a series of thefts that had remained unsolved for five years.
However, the arrested thief denied the theft of a violin worth 300 million yen. Since that was the only case that remained unsolved, Jinkawa approached Ukyo (Mizutani) and Kaoru (Terawaki) for help... and so the story unfolds.
When the preview was released, comments such as "Special Investigation Unit lol Jinkawa never gives up lol," "Detective Jinkawa appears! It feels like a love affair for the umpteenth time," "Yamashita Rio is the one he's with this time!", "I hope Jinkawa gets his comeuppance soon," and "It's the once a year Jinkawa episode. Well, it's probably the same old pattern, but I'm looking forward to it lol" were posted on social media, attracting attention.
