Episode 11, "Blood Bonds," of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," will be broadcast on NHK General on June 13th at 11:45 PM.
The mother of a boy named Shigeru visits Mao's clinic, asking him to examine her son. Mao goes to see Shigeru, but it turns out to be a trap to lure him out. A water-manipulating shikigami attacks, attempting to capture Mao.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
