Episode 14, "The Iron Mask," of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," will be broadcast on NHK General on July 4th at 11:45 PM.
Around the time rumors spread throughout the imperial capital that "the Onmyoji of the Mikami family, who can extend lifespans, is coming," Yurako appeared at a salon frequented by political and business figures. Believing Yurako to be an agent of Shiranui, Kamon pursued her with Mao. Mao was horrified when he saw Yurako's face.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
